Welcome to Chamblee Charter High School Swimming and Diving Website.
The CCHS Swim and Dive Team was organized to offer Chamblee High School students a high quality competitive swimming and diving program. We provide students with opportunities for personal growth and enjoyment, and an introduction to the lifelong health benefits of swimming and diving. These sports are taught in a fun environment while nurturing a competitive attitude at the individual’s own rate.
Our desire is to create a positive atmosphere where young people can learn to set individual goals and experience the rewards of achieving them. The CCHS Swim and Dive Team also provides an opportunity for our youth to experience the dynamics of working together as part of a successful team — a setting in which team members can learn from each other as well as from their own experiences.
Winning is not based solely on team points, an individual's speed, or the number of awards acquired. The CCHS Swim and Dive Team considers all swimmers and divers as equal and integral members of the team. Our success is ultimately measured by how much opportunity we provide for the students of our school and by how much their individual potential is maximized. The building of positive attitudes, healthy bodies, disciplined minds, and enduring friendships are among the rewards our program strives to offer to those who join the CCHS Swim and Dive Team.
Charter High School was established in 1917 and is one of DeKalb County’s oldest schools. Our school was accredited in 1935 and became a Charter School in 2001.
Our
aim is to create an environment where all students strive to reach
their highest potential. Chamblee Charter High School includes grades 9 -
12. The student body is composed of local students, as well as students from the Charter Program or the Magnet Program for High Achievers. Our student body is racially balanced, and culturally and economically diverse. Dr.
Norman Sauce, Principal, and the talented faculty of Chamblee Charter
High School work together to create an innovative learning environment.
The
parents, students and staff of Chamblee Charter High School seek to
build a school that is nationally competitive in academics, the arts,
athletics and service to the community. We believe that the road to
excellence is through an environment in which all students strive to
reach their highest potential.
